Session Zero Relics

During Session Zero, the sisters remembered the trinkets and artifacts they earned through F14's hedgewitch trials.

Elara's Set

East Bell Half

Magic: Eldritch Blast, Guidance

The sharper, upward-curving half of the broken bell, tied to Elara and East. It feels like warning, momentum, and the courage to act first.

Star-Map Splinter

Magic: Message, Dancing Lights

A sliver of crystalline navigation glass once mounted somewhere inside HEC, warm with old routes and private channels. Dust motes arrange into brief constellation lines between speaker and listener.

Hearth-Sparrow Whistle

Magic: Healing Word

A red clay whistle shaped like a plump sparrow that carries one rescuing note farther than it should go. Nearby birds go silent to listen when it is raised.

Thunderstep Locket

Magic: Misty Step

A silver-thread locket that lets Elara pass a threshold in a blink when the line breaks. In the deeper item notes, this appears as the Threadstep Locket.

Sniper Star

Role: long-range cantrip artillerist

Elara's damaging cantrips reach farther, hit harder once per turn, and ignore partial cover. On a critical hit with a spell attack, the target's speed becomes 0 until the start of Elara's next turn.

Briar's Set

Halo of the Ninth Door

Magic: Minor Illusion, Mage Hand

A bent brass halo no larger than a bracelet that spins once on the finger before projecting a small sound or image. Doorframes briefly show extra hinges and false seams.

Market-Faced Veil

Magic: Disguise Self

A folded veil stitched from gray silk and mirror-thread, worn only long enough to choose another self. Every nearby reflective surface offers a slightly different face.

Bride Glass Veil

Magic: Invisibility

A fine gray veil threaded with powdered mirror and worn just long enough to slip free of sight. Reflections keep watching after the body seems gone.

West Bellhalf

Magic: Eldritch Blast, Guidance

The rounder, lower half of the broken bell, tied to Briar and West. It feels like steadiness, shelter, and the refusal to yield.

Bone Lantern

Role: anti-hidden hunter

A lantern made from pale horn and smoked glass that reveals spirits, glamours, and things that thought they were safe. Invisible creatures, illusions, and disguised creatures do not gain the benefits of being unseen against Briar.

When a creature becomes visible to Briar after being hidden, invisible, disguised, or concealed by illusion, it can be seared by the lantern's revealing light and prevented from hiding again for a moment.

The Golden Apple

Across the trials, F14's repeated lesson-token was a small golden apple.

It was palm-sized and pleasantly heavy, with fourteen tiny square facets worked into its skin. One side caught light like sunrise, the other like sunset, and its little stem was shaped like a bell-clapper.

The apple was beautiful, but not a major magical artifact. It mattered because F14 used it as the object around which lessons formed: recovery, negotiation, protection, and teamwork.
